Event Summary: Birla Open Minds International School, Bandlaguda Jagir successfully conducted a two-day Scouts and Guides programme on 27th and 28th October 2025, inaugurated by the Principal, Ms. Nishi Rana. The event aimed at fostering discipline, teamwork, and life skills among students.
On the first day, students were introduced to essential scouting etiquettes, including different types of salutes, claps, the left handshake, and formal welcoming methods. They also actively participated in adventure-based activities such as rope climbing, ladder climbing, tyre crossing, and net exercises.
The second day highlighted creativity and practical learning, with students preparing innovative fireless food items. They also demonstrated first-aid skills through a human stretcher activity and engaged in tent pitching, showcasing their teamwork and creativity.
The programme concluded on a high note with the announcement of winners, leaving students enriched with valuable skills and memorable experiences.
The Opening Ceremony of Birla MUN 2025, held on 29th August 2025, marked the commencement of an intellectually enriching and dynamic conference. The ceremony began with inspiring addresses by our esteemed School Director, Mr. Sandeep Yalamanchili, and our respected Principal, Ms. Nishi Rana, who encouraged the young delegates to engage in thoughtful deliberations and embrace responsible global citizenship.The occasion was further graced by the presence of our distinguished Chief Guest, Dr. Y. Sreenivas Rao, Retired Director General, Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). The ceremony also featured captivating cultural performances by our talented students, adding vibrancy and elegance to the event while celebrating creativity and teamwork.
Day 2 of Birla MUN 2025 commenced with an introductory meeting between all the Presiding Officers and the School Principal, Ms. Nishi Rana. The session provided an opportunity for interaction, guidance and alignment on the objectives and expectations of the conference.This was followed by the ceremonial Pinning of Badges, symbolizing leadership, responsibility, and commitment to uphold the values of diplomacy and decorum throughout the proceedings.The day progressed with four engaging committee sessions, where delegates participated in rigorous debates, thoughtful deliberations and collaborative problem-solving.
Day 3 of BIRLA MUN culminated in a heart-warming Closing Ceremony marked by inspiration, pride and celebration of young leadership.The event began with encouraging and visionary words from our respected Principal, Ms. Nishi Rana, who applauded the delegates for their dedication, critical thinking, and diplomatic spirit throughout the conference.We were deeply honoured by the presence of our esteemed guests, Dr. V. Seshagiri Rao, Former ISRO Scientist, and Sushil Rao, Editor, The Times of India. Here’s to breaking barriers, embracing dialogue and creating meaningful impact — the Birla MUN way!

About the South Zonal Meet, which was held in Bandlaguda Jair and in which more than 800 kids competed in sports, Tanish Head Boy interviewed VP maam. Being the host this year is undoubtedly a great time for BOMIS Bandlaguda Jagir, and as VP maam stated, the closing ceremony was a spectacular occasion when we commemorated the three-day voyage. Together with our Chief Guests Sikki Reddy and Sumeet Reddy, all of the directors from various branches came together for this occasion, supporting their students and presenting the winners. They valued our pupils and inspired them to perform better in the future. At the end, there are prizes given to the teachers in recognition of their months of dedication to teaching their children.
